Ada Halonen (b. 1983) is freelance lighting designer and a Master of Arts (Theatre and drama) currently based in Turku, Finland. Halonen works in multiple roles of a lighting designer, scenographer, photographer and producer within the field of theatre and performing arts.

Her work as a lighting designer have been seen in various theatres mainly in Finland. She is also part of freelance working groups where the roles and titles are wider. Halonen is interested in site-specific and durational presentations and mixing of different styles of aesthetics.

Halonen was awarded with the Säde-prise 2020. The Säde-prise is an annual honorary award of the Finnish Association of light, sound and video designers (SVÄL).

Currently Halonen is working in Q-theatres new play ‘Tuvi Toas eli Pulu huoneessa’ that is premiered in autumn 2024.
